Benabarre

20 minutes away from Gabasa. Benabarre (Benavarri in Catalan Ribagorzano) is a Spanish town and municipality in the Ribagorza, in the province of Huesca, Aragon.

It is the historical-cultural capital of the region and the former capital of the county of Ribagorza. It is part of La Franja oriental de municipios aragoneses en los que se habla catalán ribagorzano.

We recommend it both on a gastronomic and cultural level, you can try an authentic home-made chocolate, or you can go to a cheese shop, without forgetting to walk around the Castle, which dates back to the 10th or early 11th century. Castle of Muslim origin conquered in 1062 by Ramiro I.
